Our History curriculum at St George’s C of E Primary Academy involves engaging pupils in investigating questions about people and events in the past in order to enable them to better understand their lives today and for a future as more informed and enlightened citizens. It ensures that all pupils:
- Are taught History as a discrete subject that allows natural links to forge with other subjects where appropriate.
- Have a logical, broad and balanced curriculum which reflects the guidance and the demands of the National Curriculum.
- Gain a coherent knowledge and understanding of Britain’s past and that of the wider world. Alongside this will see History from various perspectives including, political, economic, technological, scientific, social, religious, and cultural.
